About me
You already know I’m a writer, but did you know that I originally applied for Captain of the starship Enterprise? When my application was rejected (because starships don’t exist… yet) I turned to writing and filmmaking.
Since being rejected from Starfleet, I’ve worked with hundreds of creatives in theatre, film and publishing in the UK and in the US.

Current Projects
I am currently working on “Santa doesn’t work here anymore” a full-length comedy-drama play with Broken Silence Theatre’s Playwrights Hive 2026 programme to aid development.
Previous Projects
In 2025, I made a short film teaser for “Hansella’s Off Menu” a TV comedy pilot. The film is currently being considered on the festival circuit.
In 2024, I made a short comedy film “James Lasing invites you to invest in Water Rail” – based on a character from my TV sitcom pilot “Watership Railed”. The film made the final 50 longlist for The Comedy Crowd’s Chorts 2024 and only lost out because no one believed James when he claimed he could build a railway on water.
My darkly silly stories have also been performed on audio and stage and appeared in Dark Tales UK, Simultaneous Times Podcast, Dark Matter Magazine, Sci-Fi Lampoon and more. I won the QuaranCon 2022 Speculative Fiction Prize for my dystopian short “Show Me Your Resume”, which was picked up by Three Coin Theatre productions in the UK for a performance at Liminal Tales at The Water Rats Theatre in London. I have no idea why, as the story is a bleak look at job hunting in the future, but I can now say I have had work performed at the same venue Oasis played their first London gig at. Wonder-that-Wall!
My short comedy play “Harriet’s Melody” was also performed at the Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch in 2022 and was allegedly responsible for a police investigation into the whereabouts of a supposedly deceased Prime Minister. Hey, I just wrote a play. I didn’t know it was going to become part of an evidence locker.
